In today s video i ll be showing you how to test a pto clutch for resistance.

Unscrew the cap wires to the fuse and look at the fuse filament. Chris first try to adjust the clutch. If a clutch is mounted incorrectly then the springs will be run in compression and it will cause the springs to fail. If the wiring does not reveal any problem and a clutch adjustment does not resolve it it may be time to replace the clutch.

Before servicing or repairing any power equipment disconnect the spark plug and battery cables. Clean surfaces thoroughly and reassemble clutch disconnect belt from clutch. Overlook a few of their basic needs however and these normally unassuming devices can suddenly. Look for the in line fuse between the electrical wiring harness from the lever switch to the pto clutch assembly under the deck.

On the top of the clutch there is a connector. Check driven system check mowing. The electric clutch is located under the front of the frame and is bolted to the crank shaft of the engine. Remember to wear appropriate safety glasses and gloves to protect against harmful chemicals and debris.

I ve worked on this mower previously we had a safety swit. Also check mower deck will not lower hope this helps good luck. This video describes how to adjust an electric clutch on a lawn mower. If the fuse appears black or the filament has blown replace the fuse with the same ampere rating as the original. I attached some images from the manual.
